Before the big crowds, TV time, and pro contracts, every athlete starts in the same place: high school. Those years matter more than most people realize. That’s when athletes build their work ethic, learn how to train the right way, and start figuring out who they can really become. I’ve been lucky enough to train a bunch of athletes during that stage who later made it to the pros, and watching them grow from high school kids into professional competitors has been one of the best parts of what I do.

High school training is huge. It’s where strength, speed, and confidence really start to take off. It’s also the time when athletes are the most coachable—they’re hungry, they’re learning fast, and they’re willing to put in the extra work. My job has always been to guide them through that stage, help them stay healthy, push them when they need it, and give them the tools that will carry them into college and eventually the professional level.

Here are some of the athletes I worked with in high school who went on to become pros:

Every one of them put in real work when they were young. They showed up, stayed consistent, and trusted the process—even when it wasn’t easy. That’s what made the difference.

If you’re in high school and you want to compete at the next level, this is the time to take your training seriously. These years can set up everything that comes after—and I’m here to help you make the most of it.
